Bringing up to date the DAPP Protocol
The DAPP Network is continually developing and getting better. New upgrades to the core code are being deployed, strengthening the DAPP Network's overall capabilities and user experience, in addition to bringing out new services and maturing existing ones.
The DAPP Network group has shared some of the newest developments and accomplishments with you in the article that follows.
Everything will be tokenized and connected by a blockchain one day.
Fred EhrsamDAPP Permissions
(DAPP Service Providers) DSPs can now use a specific set of keys to sign service-related transactions on the mainnet thanks to special "dapp-level" capabilities. As a result, DSPs can decide to stop storing their active key on the device itself. Different permission levels are used by decentralised protocols to segregate functions with different levels of security. Owner keys on EOSIO enable "root" access to an account, enabling their owners to modify their keys.
Token transfers and other operations utilise active keys. Giving the DSPs more security, the permission level (or "dapp" permissions) required to send tokens has been separated from the permission level required to sign up for services.
Adjusting the Inflation Rate by the DAPP Network Community
As stated in the DAPP Network Whitepaper, one unique aspect of the DAPP Network system model and long-term ambition was allowing the DAPP Network community to periodically adjust the inflation rate of the DAPP token. Different inflation rates can be enabled as part of the service package parameters by DSPs, allowing their users to actively participate in fine-tuning the inflation. Members of the community display the inflation rate they want to be used throughout the DAPP Network. By staking to their favourite service bundle according on its particular inflation rate, they accomplish this.
In accordance to the quantity of DAPP staked to their service packages, the DSPs receive an inflation of DAPP tokens. Similar to how the effective inflation rate is calculated, any service package that includes a non-zero amount of staked DAPP tokens will be added together.
The DAPP Network Community is Evolving
Since the DAPP Network's inception, the community of DSPs, developers, and users has taken the initiative to create products and advance the DAPP Network, and we are incredibly appreciative of everything they have accomplished. The community has now accomplished a further milestone that will enable it to make use of additional features, tools, and integrations.
